I've now decided to create more facts about the YipYips and the different situations! I'm also going to add some that I already have from other posts! ^-^
This is all for now xd
YipYip Facts:
YipYips are liquid (not literally lmao)
They have the characteristics of cats
Sometimes their bodies will morph if they're experiencing strong emotions
When you pick them up, their bodies will stretch
Their best companions are the Yippee Stanleys
They mimic common noises that other animals and birds make
Their usual noise.....is...unexplainable-
Their favorite treats are the Gerber Baby Puffs and Yogurt Melts
They can bathe themselves
When their Yippee (or human) Stanleys leave:
Valentino:
Will jump onto the windowsill and stare out the window
Will mimic a crying animal (ex; a crying kitten)
Might get louder overtime
Is very quick to worry and fear for his Stanley's safety
Starts thinking about the worst possible situation that could happen to not only the Stanleys but to him, Woodhaven and Willow
Woodhaven:
Sits on the desk nearest to the window
Would cry every now and then
Starts to become concerned about the other's safety
Would try to sleep or play with toys to pass the time
Tries to not let the Stanleys being gone get in the way of him keeping watch of Valentino and Willow
Willow:
Would most likely already be asleep
He'd sit nearest to the door and would watch it
Tries to play with Valentino and Woodhaven
Might softly whimper
Would wonder off to another area
Once the Stanleys return:
Valentino would throw a fit that consists of angry yaps before having a breakdown. When he's like this, he requires to be cradled (like a baby) and to be cuddled. Maybe throw in some kisses and nuzzles. He has bad separation anxiety.
Woodhaven pretends not to care but he is truly upset and would only make an angry huff and a low growl before just standing there, expecting to be picked up and shown affection including a detailed apology and a detailed explanation next time. He has a bit of separation anxiety.
Willow would be terrified because he doesn't recognize his Stanley for the first few moments and thinking that his Stanley is an intruder. He would cry and go into defence mode while backing into a corner and growling. After he comes to recognize the other and calm down, he'll climb onto the other and curl around his Stanley's neck like a loose scarf before peacefully falling asleep.
YipYips are sick:
Required medication: YipYip Health (comes in liquid and tablet form)
Alternatives
Soup
Ginger Ale
Tea
Chicken Broth
Beef Broth
-----------------
Strict Rule for medication: ONLY ONE DROP OR TABLET EVERY 12 HOURS!!
Rule for alternatives: Only give them 1/2 a tablespoon!
------------------
They require extra care
Can be difficult to deal with
Valentino will be stubborn
Woodhaven will MOST LIKELY attack (ex; scratching your hand or would attempt to bite you)
Willow will hide
You can mix it in the food
The only way to get them to take medicine directly from you is by calmly talking to them and show no signs of aggression towards them
Reward them after they take the medicine (ex; petting, Gerber Baby snacks listed above, playing with them)
If the YipYips throw up (also if they make a mistake with anything):
Do's:
Clean them
Place on a protective outfit (or Hazmat suit if obtainable) and use the Special Cleaner & Cleanser (to also clean and remove burns)
Note: The Hazmat suit is only required if the situation is REALLY bad (ex; something burnt) as their vomit is toxic and acidic but if it's only a bit then the suit is not needed! :>
Put them to bed as they'll already be exhausted
Don't's:
Yell at them
Show any other signs of aggression as it puts your relationship with the YipYips in jeopardy
Doing the unspeakable (I'm not going to put the actual thing but you get the idea)
Literally anything that makes them label you as a threat and not trust you
There's more to come soon :> but with images like the last one xd
#tsp#tspud#my headcanons#my aus#my species: YipYips#this got angsty quick xd#facts about my YipYips#they are one of the most cleanest species I own but even they need a little help sometimes lmao xD

Packleaders
A story from my Keaton Legacy, put under a textbreak for length.
Contains werewolves, an oppressive government and woohoo. Two of those three, anyway.
Willow Creek, Foundry’s Cove neighborhood and there the “magic” tree near the channel.
The leaves were rustling in the late afternoon air. Stretched out below the ancient tree Florian Vatore could have created a mental map of the goings-on up there by concentrating on the sounds alone. Every movement within these branches he could pinpoint exactly and label as caused by the wind, birds or the light wooden frame of a toy plane that had gotten caught up there. Oh, right, Florian thought, he’d have to retrieve the plane for Eddy first thing tomorrow and return it so that the boy had something to cheer him up through the school hours. Just like the leaves were stirred by the wind, the light brown fur on Florian’s arms, legs and cheeks was ruffled, too. The sensation wasn’t unpleasant… yet.
The air in Foundry’s Cove was always moist from having passed the bog that stretched from the wilderness right up to the neighborhood’s border. Florian’s nostrils twitched. Yes, there was no mistaking the faint trace of motor oil in the air today. Either tourists or poachers had taken a boat into the swamp.
The notion passed and Florian breathed in deeply.
“One way road for you, silly air-molecule!” he thought to himself with a certain amount of glee. Nothing that entered Foundry Cover got out again, ever.
Well, except if you were nitrogen, the young man realized the moment he had to exhale. In this case you went in for a sightseeing and returned with pretty pictures, unchanged, unscathed, having provided nothing of worth for the residents of Foundry Cove. For this particular neighborhood of Willow Creek was also known as “the werewolf ghetto”, a name that didn’t leave much to imagination.
If only there was a way to get the tourists to pay for those photos! Florian had already informed himself about the legal situation. Though technically still persons, the werewolves counted as “persons of public interest” and as such could neither refuse to have their pictures taken nor ask for compensation in any form. The actual juristic situation was a bit more complex, but that was what it boiled down to. Where werewolves were concerned, the law tended not only to turn a blind eye, but donned the blindfold.
FFFFFFft!
A sudden blow of air on left cheek gave Florian the goosebumps, but then he smiled. Now that hadn’t been the wind!
“Edith!” he exclaimed.
Had the werewolf been in full animal shape instead of the upright hybrid form at the moment, his tail would probably have waggled. But even so, jumping to your feet and hugging your partner was pretty unmistakeable body language.
“Edith”, the young man repeated, putting his forehead against hers. The partners lined up almost perfectly, with Edith being just a little taller.
Florian raised his hands and started playing with Edith’s hair. It was silvery-white, probably the only patch of fur on her body that had any pigmentation. For Edith Feller was an albino, a mutant that’s life expectancy in the wild would have been rather low. Growing up in civilized Simslandia and being fully aware of her predicament, Edith instead had worked hard to become the second strongest person in the state, topped only by Dominic Flex. After her internment in the werewolf ghetto she had become the alpha female of Foundry’s Cove and as such Florian Vatore’s natural mate.
Florian felt his wife’s muscles play under her fur.
The fur…
“I want to feel your skin to mine, love”, Edith announced. “Let’s make love in human shape tonight, okay?”
The man loosened his embrace a little. Reluctantly he needed.
“We’ll have to go home, then”, he stated the obvious.
Edith shook her head.
“One would think I requested your neutering instead of sex!” she scolded the male werewolf. “What’s the matter with you?”
“I… have just gotten used to my hybrid form, is all”, Florian replied, though the lie was easy to catch. “We aren’t supposed to change anyway, so I stopped bothering. It’s been, what, months, since I’ve last been human.”
Ever since filling out this year’s tax declaration, in fact. His high school teachers had called it a superstition, dangerous racism, even, but Florian Vatore believed to be better at algebra when his brain was in human form, whereas he had preferred wolf form for geometry. And it hadn’t stopped there: Human was for arts and planning an argument, hybrid for natural sciences and winning a discussion by force of personality. History had only been bearable in full wolf form, because an animal was best at accepting things that one couldn’t change. You couldn’t take notes this way, but who had ever bothered doing so in history anyway? So teenaged Florian had worn different shapes in different classes all through school. Nowadays, however, he rarely went around as a human.
“I do not remember how to move as a human. My muscles might sprain during the act and that would be embarrassing to explain to the paramedic!” Florian claimed. “Provided the hospital doesn’t sent in a veterinarian, which would be even more embarrassing.”
“Oh, for the love of…!” Edith shut up Florian. “Lying isn’t a skill you should practice more often, least of all against your loved one! Give me the real answer now!”
Florian shrugged.
“That’s it, already. My loved one.”
“Huh?”
“You and me, Edith!” Florian almost shouted the words. “We are packleaders!”
“Yes, we are.”
“I am the smartest male in Foundry Cove, I put that to good use to educate myself beyond school and though I may not be the strongest fighter, I am agile and quick. I know how to best address and argument against each group in town as well as important individuals. For all of this the people look up to me as their leader. So when we met it was only natural that we paired up. But what… what if that were only our genes speaking? Our instincts are already diluted by our human blood, in actual human form they may disappear altogether. What if I change and look at you and feel nothing anymore? What will happen then?”
“Easy: Intercourse first, consensual divorce later.”
“Edith!” Florian chuckled involuntarily. “You are not taking me serious!”
“Do, too”, the woman disagreed. “I trust you.”
“Famous last words…”
“Please”, Edith almost begged now. “The world is throwing enough prejudice our way. We aren’t like this!”
“Funny thing is, we ARE like this, indeed. The part that’s prejudice is when humans claim THEY are not ruled by instincts. Theirs is just a different set.”
“Well, alright, then.” Edith shrugged, but she did so playfully. “If you find you do not really love me, then there’ll still be attraction between us. That should suffice for a roll under the bedsheets.”
“No!” Florian protested. “That’s not good enough! I’d not be good enough for you if I was like this!”
At these words Edith kissed her partner.
“That’s my man, the man I love”, she said. “But I love YOU, the good and bad about you, not the perfect façade you have to put on when standing in for our rights!”
“Mostly I’m telling the others to keep their heads down and the windows closed, to be frank.”
“Yes, of course! We make the community survive. But life is about more than taking the safest option. Look, Florian, I do not want to talk your worries small. But I believe that we can overcome everything, together.”
When Florian still wasn’t fully convinced, Edith simply hugged him again. Sometimes there wasn’t anymore to say. You either had to trust or you destroyed everything.
Hand in hand husband and wife walked the short distance towards the Vatore family’s shack. Only inside their homes were the werewolves allowed to assume human shape. Everywhere else, even for the few steps to the trashcan, they had to wear their so-called dark form, the hybridized human-wolf appearance. The rule was “justified” by the need to give humans a warning that they were dealing with dangerous predators. It also made the ghetto into an open-air zoo and thus served to lessen the guilt some humans might feel about the treatment the residents received. Both Florian and Edith remembered a different time, but so many things had changed that many werewolves preferred to forget the before-time altogether and revel in what little the present had to offer instead.
Scientists claimed this was how dogs and wolves went through life anyway: They couldn’t consciously recall anything that wasn’t related to their current situation unless an item or sensation was brought to their notice that unlocked the memory. The growing resignation of the residents of Foundry’s Cove thus was scraped off as “natural” for them, nevermind that werewolves were wolves in the same sense as humans were apes: sharing a mutual ancestor, but having evolved in a different state of mind and body. They didn’t go “yipyip”, they did not ventilate by sticking their tongues out and they especially did not mark their territory with urine or whatever stereotype a human might call from the top of his head. The real problems a werewolf faced due to his canine heritage compared to a primate, a non-werewolf couldn’t even imagine.
Edith’s innocent request, for instance, triggered such an issue.
For soon as Florian had changed in the privacy of their bedroom, he clasped his head and pressed close his eyes.
“Argh! Colors!”
Panting heavily Florian eventually managed to open his eyes a small slit.
“I had forgotten how much more intense color vision is when one is in human form!”
And that said a lot, given the monotonous grey-brown coloring of the couple’s sleeping den. The alpha couple’s money was much better spent on other places around Foundry’s Cove than on a room one only entered to sleep in. But even without vibrant effects or decorative clutter Florian now noticed a multitude of shades of what he normally perceived as the same color. It felt not unlike a migraine stroke. Worse, just as the advanced color vision had set in, the scents were dampened. Smell and taste didn’t line up properly anymore, either. As a result in addition to his blossoming migraines Florian Vatore felt as if a cold was creeping upon him. And he was supposed to make love in this sorry state?
A shy glance towards Edith told the man that she wasn’t faring any better.
“Do you know where your father and aunt Lil keep their sunglasses?” she asked miserably.
Florian shook his head. Certainly the glasses would alleviate the pain, but he wouldn’t woohoo with protective googles on! That was undignified. Dang! A werewolf’s natural rhythm was to be human at day, hybrid at night and wolf during the full moon. Not being locked into one shape to the point of experiencing physical pain while in the other! Florian knew he should change more often, but there was the nagging fear that being visible in human form through a window was reason enough for the “Wolfwatch” to apprehend him. Striking fear into their hearts, paranoia even, was the Wolfwatch’s surest way of controlling the residents.
“So we sit here bored until we have adjusted to our alternate forms”, Edith concluded. “How very rousing!”
However, Florian wasn’t without assetts. From the nightstand he produced a handful of candle stumps. Every household in Foundry’s Cove had candles and other necessities’ at the ready for when the government cut the electricity. Five of the stumps the man set afloat in a plastic bowl now and added a powder that made the water’s color change. It was still colors being criminally colorful, but the arrangement was also relaxing, not to mention romantic.
“Lean back…”
Florian watched the candles’ shadows dance across the ceiling. The longer he remained in this form, the more natural it felt. The sensation of having a cold passed, as did the headache. And beneath all this Florian found that he was still the same person he’d been under the tree.
With one hand the man turned on the disc player for their favourite music and with the other he held his wife.
There was no doubting their bond. Her being a desireable mate for a packleader was what had drawn Florian to Edith in the first place, that much was true. But that what had made them join eventually and stay together transcended the genetic imperative. One could say that for both wolf and ape their biochemistry defined the sample from which to choose a partner, but the final decision was made by a person.
“What are you thinking of?” Edith asked softly.
“Biology…”
“Oh, kinky!”
“Hehe!”
“Tell me more about… biology!”
Florian grinned, then leaned over for some intense study of the subject.
For a precious while, all was well.
